Financial Counsellor (Southern Region)
Tim Hickey joined the team in September 2020 after an extensive career in managing large and diverse properties in Tasmania and New South Wales, and also working in Rural Finance with the NAB based in the Gippsland of Victoria. Tim has a Diploma in Farm Business Management from Marcus Oldham College, Geelong. He has a keen interest in animal genetics and regenerative agricultural practices.
In recent years, having been through two major droughts and fighting the devastating fires on the southern tablelands of NSW during the summer of 2019/20, Tim knows first-hand the hardship rural communities face during such times and the help they need. Now back in his home state, he is looking forward to working with his fellow counsellors to build resilience into the rural community of Tasmania.
Outside of farming, Tim has been a member of the Rural Fire Service as a volunteer both in Tasmanian and New South Wales for over 20years. He loves anything to do with being in or on the water and is looking forward to reacquainting himself with his home state and all it has to offer.
